The road for many miles follows the edge of the live bombing area for the US military.  There are signs along the road to this effect and one would be very wise to stay out, because there can be activity at any time.  We met several military vehicles at one point.  We came upon a pile of bomb casings.  April wanted one for a lawn ornament, so she asked Gord if he would load it on their truck.  They were 500 lb. bombs.  Consequently, they all remained where they were.  A little further down the road and on the other side there was a couple that still had the end pieces on them.
