Monday, March 2 Today was the hottest day yet. It got up to 91F and very little breeze. Jeanne did the laundry before breakfast. Maggie and Chuck dropped in while we were eating breakfast. Glen and April dropped by for a short visit. Kathy and Bonnie stopped in on their way for groceries. They, and Maggie, are leaving tomorrow. Around 11:30 we walked over to Hams & Maria's for a visit. This afternoon we walked over to Glen and Gloria's to see their new RV then stopped at Jerilyn and Ron's. Came home in time to make supper then had a fire so Bonnie, Kathy and Maggie could say their goodbyes all in one spot. More and more we are hearing the "S" word. We are advised to watch where we are walking and not get wood from the wood pile at night without a flashlight because snakes like to curl up under the wood. The first time I see a rattlesnake I think Gordon will have to pack up by himself as I will have b-lined for cooler climes.
