A beautiful morning although not quite as warm as we would like it to be. After our walk we were just finishing up breakfast when Bob & Sharon, a couple Gord had visited with in Quartzsite, saw him as they were leaving, so stopped and visited for about 20 minutes. Then the next door neighbor stopped by for a few minutes.

At 1:00 pm we picked up D & P and drove to Yuma for Midnight in the Oasis, an antique car show. There were a great many beautiful cars and trucks. Saw a 1966 Dodge Charger, just like our first car. Three brothers were there each sporting a fire engine. How fun would that be, driving through heavy traffic! Between the three of them they owned 10 fire trucks. All three of them had been firemen.

Gord wanted to purchase a new tow vehicle. It was a green "1954 Chevy Diesel 3/4 ton long bed. Has a 453 Detroit diesel, 4 speed + 2 speed Brownie (under and over), very cold vintage air, plenty of power for anything...lots of fun to drive and a real conversation piece." Russell, the owner, would even take the Tundra on trade. Wouldn't that be fun towing a 5th wheel with an antique vehicle. Don't know as I could drive it though! It sure would bring visitors!

All four of us were very tired after the long walk to the show and around the show and back to the truck. We had leftovers for supper and an early night. Forecast is for rain . . . 100% chance of it! Just what we wanted . . . more rain!
