Sunday, March 7, 2010

It all began about 3:00 am. The heavens opened and the flood began. . . Oh, we were promised no more flooding - right??? Well, for about five hours I would not have believed that, as we were in the middle of a torrential downpour. Had a real lake right behind our RV. It eased up in time for D & P to come for pancakes.

Gord and the neighbor went for a walk and before they got home a brain rattling clap of thunder rolled across the area and the sky turned black, so we knew we were in for more - you guessed it ---- rain! We got in the truck and headed for town. Didn't want to be in this storm again. Yuma was just sitting there waiting for the storm to arrive, which it did about 40 minutes later.

We had dinner with Truda & Bob. It was to be an outdoor picnic, but turned out to be inside with the heat on. Her sister, Vicky, is visiting. It was nice to see them all. They were in Quartzsite yesterday. Met our cousin Gerri and hubby Tad for pizza at Silly Al's.
Tad & Gerri have a place at Lake Havasu.

Back to RV by 8:00 pm. Will have an early night as we are pulling out in the morning headed east. First stop is Gila Bend, about three hours drive.

We are fine and everything is working as it should. Hope all is well with you too!
