Day dawned sunny but cool and very windy. We didn't walk this morning, but got right into the final preparations for moving. We were all loaded when Clint arrived followed by Glen & April who had come to say goodbye. It is hard saying goodbye to folks we have been having fun with for the last four months.

We pulled out at 10:00 am and bucked a headwind all the way to Yuma. Our stopping spot was Pilot Knob just across the California border on Highway 8. Boy can the wind blow here. We got set up and then headed into Yuma to get an oil change and propane. It took two hours for the oil change. Mexicans just don't move very fast, and it seems like the only employees in this neck of the woods are Mexicans. Wal-Mart was the next stop for a few fresh groceries. Doug and Phyllis are staying at Sleepy Hollow which is just on the US side of the Mexican border at Los Algodones, so we stopped there on our way by and visited with them for an hour. The wind was still whipping the sand around the desert when we got back to the RV.
