Gordon is getting great reviews with his City Tour.  Today he had 51 passengers on the bus for the tour.  People come by the Sales Desk where I have been a lot lately, and tell me what a wonderful and informative tour they had with Gordon.  Three nights he has also done the Dome Tour. Split shifts are the pits.

The jeep tours are gone for the season.  Gordon was hoping to get a jeep run a couple of times a week, so there goes hours.  Also, the rivers are so high that the float tour is not possible and we have no idea when that will begin.  So no hours there for the time being. The paddle wheeler can’t get on the river for at least another week, so there are no hours there for transporting guests to and from the hotel to river.

I was at the Sales Desk from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm yesterday and again from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm today.  Would have been there until 8:00 but we had a staff meeting at 7:00 and then a staff BBQ.  Gord didn’t come to the BBQ.  He is tired and discouraged.

June 4th I was told that I was voted the EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH.  Then today I find out that all the employees with HAP Alaska Yukon and Westmark Hotels had their names put in a hat and one name was drawn to have dinner with a manager.  My name was drawn but they (the Managers) decided that because I was EOM I shouldn’t get the dinner.  They put my name back in the pot and redrew and drew my name again, so I also get a dinner with a manager.   WOW!  Now my name goes into a draw for a free cruise.  I said that was the one that I would like to win.
