Much has happened here in Dawson City in the past week.  I took a stroll the other night to get some local housing.  Hope you enjoy a partial tour of Dawson.
This is where we are living.  I can't figure out how they did a bed & breakfast with the configuration of the house.

A little cottage up the street and around the corner from where we live.

Jack London Museum

Replica of Jack London's cabin

Quite some residence aye?

Robert Service's Cabin

There are some very large homes in Dawson

This is the side view of the pink & white house .

This one is nestled in the trees.  Very impressive as well.

Another home along 8th.
Barclay's Residence
Health Centre
Made from beached Riverboat lumber
St. Andrews Church built 1901
St. Andrew's Manse
St. Andrews Church 1901
This shows what building on permafrost can do to a building.  I feel sad that it is being left to the elements and not being restored.  It must have been a gorgeous building in its day.
Don't you love the bright colors of some homes?

I like the little stairs from the street that break for the driveway.

The pictures were doing their own thing tonight and I am very tired so didn't want to play with them. I had today off, thank goodness.

Paul came for supper tonight.  He is leaving Dawson in the morning. Moving on to bigger and much better things.

For all of you who have seen the news of the flooding in Calgary, our home and the homes of our family are find.  However, our son, Derek, works in downtown Calgary so he is on a forced vacation for a while.

Hope all is well with all of you.  See you down the road!
